Shine Muscat is a popular choice among all sweets addicts, as it carries a crunchy bite at the surface to grape candy-flavored sweetness with refreshing grape juice within. Definitely, something that cannot be forgotten easily after the first bite of it. Japanese muscat grapes are bred to be large and very sweet, averaging 18 Brix, which is a measurement used for the sugar levels in the produce. A popular muscat table grape in Japan is the Shine Muscat, which was released to Japanese markets around 2003. Shine Muscat grapes are known for their large, yellow-green or purple berries and crisp, candy-like, seedless flesh with floral notes. Another variety, the Japanese muscat Bailey-A, is a deep pink-skinned variety developed in the 1920s by Kawakami Zenbei who is credited as the grandfather of Japanese wines. It is still one of Japan’s most popular wine grapes and is commonly used to produce light, fruity red wines.
Shine Muscat grapes are an excellent source of vitamin C, potassium, thiamine, dietary fiber, and resveratrol, an important phytonutrient in maintaining heart health.
