Registered in 2011 Queen Nina is a cross between "Akitsu No. 20” & "Aki Queen”, with a non-slip skin wine grape variety that gives off intense wine fragrance despite having red skin unlike commonly known Kyoho or Pione Grapes. These red grapes have large berries with high sugar levels and low acidity.
Its sweetness is said to reach as high as 21% Brix, a peak sweetness standard for grape varieties.
With thin skin that is not the least tart and can be eaten directly, its low acidity makes it one of the sweetest wine grapes with a flavorful wine scent that can be tasted in abundance with every huge-sized fruit. The flesh is tender, the texture is a bit like jelly and it’s very juicy to eat. These beautiful seedless grapes have a long shelf-life and a beautiful translucent red skin. The berry has a mild foxy flavor, easily breakable, firm, and juicy flesh. A sweet, rich fragrance spreads through the mouth while the juiciness makes you want to slowly savor every grape.
